Introducing new generations to Midcentury design and mystique (and design inspiration to Princeton Lofts owners), the Orange County Museum of Art is exhibiting the “Birth of the Cool: California Art, Design and Culture at Midcentury.” The West Coast’s creative postwar years are brought to life by musician Chet Baker, painter Helen Lundeberg, photographer Julius Shulman, architect Pierre Koenig, animator Oskar Fischinger, and designers Charles and Ray Eames. Visitors will want to immerse themselves in the museum’s jazz lounge and media bar, while relaxing in sleek Van Keppel Green furniture. Now through 06 January 2007.
